"Pure trusted beauty" is more than a catchy slogan for AILLEA, now open in Buckhead. It's peace of mind knowing that everything in the boutique is made from safe, nontoxic ingredients. "I think a lot of women want to go clean, but don't know where to start," says founder Kathryn Dickinson, who has spent her entire career in beauty. After a time - and money - consuming search for the ideal natural shampoo, Dickinson launched AILLEA to help others easily find products that work as well or better than what they currently use. "People need to realize they don't need to compromise to have safer products," she says.

With a name derived from the Celtic word for beauty, AILLEA follows European Union skincare standards, which are much more strict than those in the U.S. AIl products are free of parabens, sulfates, pettrochemicals and endocrine disruptors, and are not tested on animals. Dickinson carefully selects each haircare, body-care and skincare line - working closely with the brand founders, all equally committed to clean beauty. Customers can get to know them as at in-store classes and events.

At the Atlanta boutique - AILLEA's third location and first outside of Denver - you'll find the St. Simons Island-based One Love Organics and the holistic and high performing KYPRIS, along with makeup from luxe brands like Kjaer Weis - the organic makeup, created by an artist for A-list celebs, is refillable and comes in eye-catching, environmentally friendly packaging. That shampoo that inspired Dickinson to create AILLEA? It's from Rahua, a hair- and body-care line you'll see right when you walk in.
