Best Organic Makeup - Foundations and Blushes
Posted on 10 August 2015
I often get asked about Organic Makeup. Ladies want to know: Does it work? Does it last? Is it really healthier for you? I did a little research, talked to some experts and want to share with you what I found out.
I’ve known about Organic Makeup for years now, but up until now I’ve had limited exposure to it. I eat organic and have browsed the aisles so I’ve seen that they carry it. I also know people that have a lot of health issues that have been moving toward organic makeup and hair color. After my last client asked me about it, I decided to do a little research and try it for myself. Given there are so many options in makeup, I’ve broken this down to a 3 part series. The first one is foundations and blushes, the second one is all about the eyes and the third one is about lips. Let me know your thoughts.

Kjaer Weiss Cream Blush $56
Started by Danish-born New York Makeup artist, Kjaer Weiss, the brand focuses on delivering organic and green cosmetics. Each batch of product is individually inspected by Weiss, who says the products are as “close to homemade as you can get.”
Kjaer Weiss cream blush is deeply pigmented, and contains ingredients like beeswax and jojoba and perfect for long lasting wear.
RMS Lips2Cheek $36
After facing health issues from excess minerals and toxins in her body, makeup artist Rose-Marie Swift wanted to help other women be beautiful without sacrificing their health. As a result, she founded RMS Beauty, which uses organic and raw food grade ingredients to deliver the ingredients in their purest, most natural form.
Made with nourishing ingredients like coconut oil and sheabutter fruit, this Lips2cheek blush is designed to be flattering on both the lips or the cheeks.
