Midnight Eyes with Aillea

Throughout the years, my makeup routine has changed a bit. In high school, I used to wear dark eyeliner and shimmer shadow. Then as I got into college, I went for the cat eye look with minimal color. These days, now that I have lashes, I don’t generally wear eyeliner, I tend to go for a more natural look, but darken the colors as I go into night.

AILLEA is an all natural cosmetics boutique, carrying a variety of brands and products from eye makeup, to skincare and perfumes. We visited the new store in Cherry Creek this past week and tried out the new Vapour eye palette in Midnight.

We started my priming my face with Evelyn Iona Green Tea Primer which was super light. From there it was the Vapour Atmosphere Luminous Foundation that was again super light but was able to provide a full coverage that I like. I am weird about my foundation and always want the most coverage I can get while not feeling caky on my face. She then used a cream based blush by Kjaer Weis which blended beautifully and looked extremely natural.

Next we went onto the eyes. The Vapour Midnight Eye Palette is cream based and provides a gorgeous look for any eye color with minimal amount of use. Since the palette is cream based you don’t have to use much to get the desired look. She utilized the darker shades under the eyes and it really gave more of a dramatic feel to the look. Finally we finished off the eyes using the Vapour Mesmerize Eye Liner. To complete the look, she added a slightly tinted gloss.

For the longest time, I’ve always shied away from too much color, but these blue and grey hues are gorgeous for both a day and night look. I really loved how everything blended together and didn’t seem overdone for the day. Make sure you check out AILLEA and Vapour products! I’ve linked all of the products and colors below!
