Can you please share with the AILLEA audience a little background about yourself, both personally and professionally?
What was your inspiration when initially launching the Henné Organics brand?
It was a combination of inspiration and desperation. When we first moved to the NV desert in 2014, my husband and I both got very dry and cracked lips from the dry climate. I’m not going to say there was no lip balm in the world that worked, but all of the ones I tried worked okay but not great, and when it came to packaging and design, let’s just say they didn’t look very nice in my makeup bag.
Around the same time, I had become quite restless and uninspired by the work I was doing. Initially I had thought about launching my own line of organic products years back, but I was in my early 20s and thought I needed to wait until I had more work/business experience and more savings. While it wasn’t fun having issues with my lips, I have to thank those dry/cracked lips for giving me the extra push needed to start my own brand, because it led to the creation of our brand and the launch of our OG product in 2015, the Luxury Lip Balm.
Where does the name ‘Henné Organics’ come from?
“Henne” (without the accent on the E) means “Her” in Swedish. I wanted the brand to pay homage to all women as well as Sweden, which I consider my second home and the main inspiration for the brand itself.
What is your personal favorite Henné Organics product?
This is so tough to answer! It’s like choosing your favorite child (okay not really). I’d say the Luxury Lip Balm because it’s so versatile.
Can you share any pro tips for how to use the Henné Organics line?
There’s no one-size-fits all when it comes to a lip care routine, so don’t be afraid to play around with the products and pick a combo that best fits you.
