#tipofthedaytuesday 4 Tips to Make Lipstick Stick

#TipOfTheDayTuesday - Make Your Lipstick STICK!

We've all been there. Finding the PERFECT shade of lipstick only to leave it behind on the now-empty wine glass. The rest of the night you're left without your "Je ne sais quoi" and are left feeling naked and vulnerable.  Well here we come to your rescue! Making lip color stay all night is a simple enough process and we've narrowed it down to our top four tips to keeping your lips properly pink (or red or purple) all night!

#tipofthedaytuesday 4 Tips to Make Lipstick Stick: 1. exfoliate, 2. moisturize, 3. use a lip stain, 4. finish with lipstick

1. Exfoliate! Remove excess lip flap (ugh) that can create an uneven texture and catch more color in one area than another.  We like Ilia's Balmy Nights Lip Exfoliator for a super smooth finish.

2. Moisturize away! Just like after exfoliating your face, your lips need hydration to keep them soft and smooth. Look for a lip balm with nourishing oils like Roots Rose Radish Bergamint Lip Balm to keep the roughness at bay.

3. Stain your lips! Stains are the secret to keeping your color lasting all night.  Choose a matte finish that will really sink into your lips and peek through right as the lipstick is wearing off. We like RMS Lip2Cheek for nourishing color with buildable pigment.

4. Now is the time to apply lipstick! Choose a lipstick that matches your stain and carefully apply it. Lily Lolo's Lipstick are nourishing and rich in color for a perfect pout.
