Ingredients:
• 1 tablespoon melted coconut oil
• 1 teaspoon cinnamon
• 1 1/2 cups of water
• 12 oz. of pitted dates
• 10 oz. of unsalted, raw walnuts (roughly 2 1/2 cups)
How To:
Combine dates, water, and cinnamon in a pot on the stove - simmer until the dates are soft and falling apart.
While the dates are cooking, mix the coconut oil with the walnuts in a food processor until it reaches a nut butter consistency. Remove the mixture from the food processor and set it aside in a separate bowl; there is no need to clean the food processor at this time.
Once the date mixture is cooked, add the entire mixture of water, dates, and cinnamon into the food processor. Mix until it reaches a smooth date butter consistency.
Add the walnut butter in with the date butter. Process until blended together and smooth. Let the mixture cool and serve with apple slices.
